Crest Physical Therapy

Matt Smelas has been practicing physical therapy since 1996. He holds an undergraduate degree from Villanova University. He is a graduate of the UMDNJ/Kean Physical Therapy Program and received his Doctorate of Physical therapy at the University of St. Augustine in 2012. He spent 6 years working at the Kessler Institute and gained experience working with a wide variety of patient diagnoses, including orthopedic, spinal cord, stroke, amputee, and multi-trauma. Additionally, Matt holds the OCS certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists and achieved his Vestibular Therapy Certification. This is the destination for a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist. He also holds the CSCS certification. This is the certified strength and conditioning specialist from the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).
