Michael J Schwartz is an Entrepreneur, born and raised in Toms River, NJ. Schwartz is a graduate of Touro University.  He started his business career in 1993, opening and office supply company in Downtown Toms River, NJ. In 1998 he founded a music management and promotional company called Origin Recordings where he managed and produced local music artists. He closed his companies in 2004 to become a police officer. Schwartz worked as a patrolman in the Borough of Seaside Heights until 2009 and was an auxiliary officer in his hometown of Toms River Township until 2014. In the meantime, Schwartz has run a title company, engineering survey firm and real estate development company. Schwartz has also facilitated a class on Body Language and Communication for various companies and also taught the course regularly at Temple University. In 2000, Schwartz produced and hosted a local television show for the Cablevision Corporation called “The Big Time with Mike Schwartz”. Schwartz founded the critically acclaimed Seaside Music Festival in 2008 and has hosted a multitude of other music and promotional events throughout his career.

In 2008, Schwartz founded a non-profit called Hometown Heroes. Since its inception in 2008, Hometown Heroes has facilitated over 2500 unique applications helping more than 10,000 people. Hometown Heroes has distributed more than $2.5 Million dollars to families and individuals that have found themselves in a crisis. Originally founded in New Jersey, Hometown Heroes has expanded its presence throughout the country into a variety of states. Schwartz has appeared on numerous television and radio programs, as himself, promoting his Hometown Heroes non-profit foundation.

Schwartz is a licensed pilot and avid flyer. He has won numerous awards for his work in various communities, Rotary International, the Toms River police department and Hometown Heroes. He is single and has no children. He maintains a residence and office in Toms River, NJ.
