NEXT MEETING : Thursday, September 29, Check-in 12 PM, Meeting Starts 12:15 PM- NCC
TOPIC: Joint Red Bank Rotary Club Board Meeting and Foundation Board Meeting
All are welcome-

The Red Bank Rotary Club met on September 22 at the Navesink Country Club. The meeting included a program by Bob Zuckerman, Executive Director of the Red Bank RIverCenter. The RiverCenter was established about 30 years at the request of downtown Red Bank merchants and property owners. The purpose of RiverCenter is to promote Red Bank's downtown, recruit businesses (Alex hopes to see a French Café soon) to Red Bank, organize events which will bring people to Red Bank and provide communication to the public about downtown Red Bank. The property owners pay a fee, in addition to their property taxes. Staffing costs and operating expenses are paid by this assessment, which is currently about $600,000. The success of the RiverCenter can be found in the number of fine reviews of downtown Red Bank and the vitality of restaurants and businesses. Thank you Bob for your fine presentation- we hope to see you return to a meeting soon.

Members were greeted by new member Alex Niel at check in. We look forward to Alex's installation in the very near future. Look for a 7 day letter in your inbox this week to approve perspective member Sandra Weingart. Sandra is the Executive Director of the Red Bank YMCA and looks for ward to supporting the community through the service of Rotary.

Rotarian David Legg announced the Water Project in Guatemala has been approved and is ready to go on our RI Districts end, we are waiting for our Rotarian counterparts in Guatemala to approve the project once technical difficulties are resolved.

Happy Dollars flowed freely- so much joy in the room!

The winner of our 50/50 was David Legg.
