COGs March 10, 2022
This past Thursday we were happy to see Honorary Rotary member Patty Micali and guest Ted Perednia. Patty was accompanied by our program speaker Suzy Dyer, Esq., Executive Director of the Parker Family Health Clinic. Ted won the 50/50.
Suzy provided an overview of the Parker Health Clinic, as a staple of quality health care for the residents of Monmouth County who do not have insurance. Suzy reported there are over 130 volunteers who provide care. These volunteers range from Nurses and Doctors to Translators.

There are three basic requirements for becoming a Parker patient. A patient needs to be a Monmouth County resident. They must be living without health insurance. And their annual income needs to be at or below 300 percent of the federal poverty level. That equates to $38,280 for a single person and $78,600 for a family of four.

The clinic helps people who do not qualify for Medicaid but cannot afford insurance — the people who fall through the cracks. There is a need for a bigger building with additional exam rooms. The clinic has been approved for a major renovation.

Reminders:

Those who have not paid their dues, please get them in ASAP.

Bring your "Diaper Pantry Go Bags" to our next meeting to swap out for filled bags. Monitoring the pantries is a group effort!

  • March 17- The 50th Lombardi Dinner, Sheraton in Eatontown.
  • March 19- Monthly volunteer morning at Lunch Break, 8 AM to 12 PM
  • March 24 - A working lunch - Creating the Perfect 10 Rotary Club - an interactive working session facilitated by me - this one is one to attend as we work with Katie and Ellie on the future vision of the club.  We did this breakout at MAPETS this past week and it was extremely well received.
As we continue to see cases of COVID, and Omicron go down, and more mask mandates being eliminated please try to make our meetings in person - it would be good to see everyone again.  If you are uncomfortable, we understand and if you want to wear a mask, no problem

Coming soon- photos of Rotary Club of Red Bank marching in the Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Remember to read the entire COGs as the color of the day is hidden within.
