SEPTEMBER SPEAKERS
CHRIS SHINN
Chris was our first speaker this month. He shared that after speaking with Rotary Club 5000 in Hawaii, they have come up with a board game drive to support the children who are affected by the devastating fires. So, we are asking our members to help support his amazing cause.
He also shared more information on how we can drive support from our local community to sponsor events and needs for our Club and the community. He provided samples of forms that we can prepare and hand out to banks, big box stores, etc., who are always willing to support non-profit organizations in their community. He is a wealth of information and would love to engage more with the Red Bank Rotary Club.
Their mission is to teach young athletes the fundamentals of basketball through repetition, discipline, accountability, and proper technique while placing academics first.
They each individually have 20+ years of coaching experience and place development FIRST and recognize that most athletes they encounter are not being taught proper fundamentals, which doesn't give them a fair chance to compete. They believe any athlete is capable as long as they are dedicated to the process and committed to showing up.
The Red Bank Rotary Club was delighted to volunteer in support of Red Bank's 1st Oktoberfest on September 30th.
Adeline Schmidt, David Legg, and Alexandra Niel welcomed guests, gave them their wristbands, and sent them on their merry way to enjoy a truly spectacular event.
We want to congratulate Bob Zuckerman for an excellent event.
The Red Bank Rotary Club is working on a wonderful project to Beautify Red Bank. This project was selected with the help of Mayor Billy Portman and Councilwoman Kate L Triggiano, with the support of the Red Bank River Center and Samantha Bowers-Crader.
We have committed to picking up trash throughout Red Bank over the course of the next month or so every Saturday morning 8-10 am, starting on Saturday, October 14th.
The Red Bank Rotary Club has received permission to sponsor the Field of Heroes Event for Veterans Day week 2023 and Memorial Day week 2024 in Riverside Gardens Park.
