September 8, 2023 Rotary Club Meeting
Location: Brother Restaurant in Red Bank
Speaker: Christopher Shinn
We have a small but mighty lunch.
As usual, we started with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the Four Way Truth, followed by our Meditation (we held a moment of silence in memory of the passing of the sister/sister-in-law of our past District Governor, Chuck & Mary Watson.) Bill Dickenson collected Happy Dollars (All Happy Dollars)!!
Joe Greca reminded all that on September 14th Stephen T. will be inducted as our Newest Red Bank Rotary Club Member!! Please don't miss this event!!!
This was our first at The Brothers Restaurant and Chris was our guest speaker. He shared that after speaking with Rotary Club 5000 in Hawaii, they have come up with a board game drive to support the children who are affected by the devastating fires. So, we are asking our members to help support his amazing cause. He also talked about joining efforts to host a golf outing and so I will connect Jay and Chris to discuss such a possibility at Trump Golf Course. Lastly, he shared more information on how we can drive support from our local community to sponsor events and need for our Club and the community. He provided samples of forms that we can prepare and hand out to banks, big box stores, etc., who are always willing to support non-profit organizations in their community. He is a wealth of information and would love to engage more with the Red Bank Rotary Club.
