Navesink Country Club: Attire and Electronic Media Policies

 
Dress Code

Country Club Casual:

Country Club Casual is the standard dress code for the Navesink Clubhouse.

1. No denim is allowed in the Clubhouse with the exception of the lower level of the clubhouse, including the Lyon’s Den & Snack Bar.

2. All men’s shirts must be worn in one of the following ways;
     a. Collared Dress Shirt, tucked in.
     b. Golf or Polo Shirt, tucked in.
     c. Camp Shirt (e.g. Tommy Bahama), may be untucked.
     d. Turtleneck sweaters may be worn under a blazer.
     e. Mock turtlenecks may be worn at lunch during golf season

         (April 15 – October 15).

3. No hats or visors for both men and women are allowed in the dining rooms with the exception of ladies fashion hats.
4. Men may wear shorts in the dining rooms during golf season. Cargo shorts are not permitted.
5. Men are permitted to wear sandals until 6 p.m. in the Clubhouse during golf season.
6. Appropriate golf, tennis, and paddle attire for both men and women is permitted in the dining rooms for lunch only.
7. Sweat suit attire, such as sweat pants or sweat shirts, is not permitted in the dining rooms.
8. Women shorts: may only wear golf or Bermuda length.

 

Semi-Formal Dress:

Jacket, collared shirt or turtleneck sweaters are required for men. Polo or golf Shirts are acceptable under the jacket or blazer and must be tucked in. All other rules apply.  The semi-formal dress code will be used in the Formal Dining Room during Golf season (April 20 to October 5), Men’s Golf Events (Stag Dinner, Opening Night, etc.) and Club Parties, if specified.

 

Formal Dress:

Jacket and tie are required. The formal dress code will be used in the Formal Dining Room, October 19, 2013 – April 20, 2014 and Club Parties where a ‘theme’ is not present.

Black Tie:

Full Tuxedo or dinner jackets for men.

 

In the event of a party where a theme is present, a specialized dress code may be created for the evening.

 
Electronic Device Policy

Public Areas of the Clubhouse
The use of electronic devices (i.e., a cellular phone, PDA, Blackberry, iPad, iPod, Portable Gaming Systems, Laptops, Netbooks) for any purpose is prohibited.
 
Lower Level of the Clubhouse (Lyon’s Den, Snack Bar, Hallways & Pool)
The silent use of electronic devices (i.e., a cellular phone, PDA, Blackberry, iPad, iPod, Portable Gaming Systems, Laptops, Netbooks) is permitted. Speaking on cellular phones is not permitted. Devices are prohibited from
producing sound and disturbing others. Under management’s discretion, members and guests will be asked to relocate or turn off their device if their use is disruptive.

Locker Rooms
The use of electronic devices (i.e., a cellular phone, PDA, Blackberry, iPad, iPod, Portable Gaming Systems, Laptops, Netbooks) for any purpose, including verbal communication, is permitted only in the carpeted and dry
areas of the men’s & ladies golf locker rooms and the hockey/pool locker rooms.

Golf Course, Practice Areas, Tennis Courts, Racquet Center, Hockey Rink and Surrounding Area
The use of electronic devices (i.e., a cellular phone, PDA, Blackberry, iPad, iPod, Portable Gaming Systems, Laptops, Netbooks) for any purpose is prohibited.

Ringing Modes
If a cell phone or PDA is to be carried on your person on Club property, it must be turned off or be switched to vibrate or non-ringing mode. Please be courteous if using your electronic device in the parking lot. If doing so,
please do so only in the privacy of your car.
