New Member Induction: We happily inducted Judi Dawson, head of Affordable Housing Alliance, who had been a past member of another Rotary club. Congratulations to Judi and happy to have you as our latest member.
Speaker: Ray Gabler, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Monmouth County, spoke to us today. Founded in 1976, HFH International has built, rehabilitated, repaired or improved more than 1 million homes, housing more than 4 million people worldwide.
He reviewed criteria for home-ownership, common myths about Habitat, revisited some high profile projects completed during the past few years and discussed current and future endeavors including their ReStore and Neighborhood Revitalization project. They have a furniture warehouse in Freehold, which is the old Siverts on Main Street; also has pick-up available if one has a home or office of furniture. Thanks, Ray, for speaking to our club.
50/50 $20 went to Addie
Meeting ended at 1:26 PM
